Life Recovery Coaching is a form of strengths-based support for persons in recovery. Life Recovery Coaches do not offer primary treatment for addiction, do not diagnose, and are not associated with any particular method or means of recovery, but they are mentors who support any positive change. Their purpose is to help patients phasing out of treatment avoid relapse, build community support for recovery and work on life goals not related to addiction such as relationships, work, education etc. Life Recovery Coaching is action oriented with an emphasis on improving present life and reaching goals for the future.
Your Life Recovery Coach is an excellent addition to patient's addiction and family counselors. Each Addiction Reach Home coach is also in recovery and has had similar experiences to the patients they mentor, understanding first-hand their present day and future challenges.
Each Life Recovery Coach can help patients understand the 12 Step Program on a one-to-one basis, while also recommending and facilitating group therapy at the patient's request. These treatment providers offer long term support for as long as the patient sees fit.
